Columbus US is seeking a GP Presales/Product Management Consultant. This is an excellent opportunity if you are a self-starter who likes to take initiative in planning and implementing innovative ideas to help grow our Microsoft Dynamics GP practice. The overall objective of this position is to provide presales and product knowledge support to our growing practice.

The role:
The Columbus GP Presales and Product Management will work directly with the SMB Sales team and GP Services team to provide sales support for presales demos, provide product knowledge of MS Dynamics GP and also applicable third-party software. The responsibilities for this role as a presales person to help support the sales process and work with our Sales team to close business.

Responsibilities (depending on experience): 

  • Lead the research process to identify market needs which fit the Dynamics GP solution offering or could be created as IP by Columbus to market and sell to new and existing clients
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop and communicate the positioning and messaging, customer roles, the buying process and marketing readiness materials of Dynamics GP in the marketplace and lead educational efforts for Sales, Marketing and Services teams
  • Collaborate with leadership in Services, Sales and Marketing to define a successful approach for launches, marketing campaigns, product presentations, product programs and messaging, including the development of marketing and sales tools to support Columbus efforts to be a leader in the identified market
  • Lead efforts to identify how and why Dynamics GP and related ISV solutions are or are not being bought and used within our current markets; follow-up with sales, marketing and services to adjust programs based on learning
  • Be a spokesperson for Dynamics GP at GPUG events or other similar forums, including presentations to customers, internal and external audiences.
  • Team with Customer Operations and GP Services team to maximize the overall customer experience for Dynamics GP and ensure consulting and support team are trained on MS Dynamics GP, Columbus internally developed products and MS Dynamics GP ISV applications
  • Lead and coordinate sales demos as well as assist Sales with needs discovery when a prospective or current customer is looking for a solution.
  • Perform business process reviews
  • Identifies potential software development work that can improve client’s processes
  • Work well and collaborate with SMB Sales team, GP Service team members and clients.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Intermediate knowledge of Core and Distribution Dynamics GP modules
  • Ability to do presales demos of MS Dynamics GP to potential clients and highlight benefits that match prospects desired needs
  • Strong presentation skills to present to a virtual or live audience of customers or prospects. Be able to conduct webinars or do presentations for various GPUG or Customer events.
  • Willingness to travel to prospect or client’s site up to 25%
  • Ability to work with SMB clients and C-level executives (client facing)
  • Prior Dynamics GP Product Management or Product Marketing experience
  • Strong proficiency with selling and marketing Dynamics GP applications to a wide variety of organizations
  • Education in Business, Sales, Marketing or Accounting and the ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Ability to manage critical relationships with clients, ISV’s and internal teams
  • Ability to work with SMB clients and C-level executives (client facing)
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, communicate, delegate and follow-up effectively to all team members
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management/organization skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of other accounting software or ERP solutions would be beneficial
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Past GP Consulting experience is a plus
  • Current or Past Microsoft MVP or GPUG All-Star
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP certifications
